metirish Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Williams sponsor on baseballreference says this about him.....]The Todd is the type of guy that hits a .38 Special concert before going catfishing at 2am with a cooler full of Stroh's. The Todd is America. He eats at Hardee's.http://www.baseball-reference.com/w/willito02.shtml
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 The Mets have had a high Todd Factor historically, though nothing like those Todd-hording Rockies, whose Todds probably still drink Stroh's even though the Coors is free.Todds in Major League History:Todd Belitz 2000-2001Todd Benzinger 1987-1995Todd Burns 1988-1993Todd Coffey 2005-2006Todd Cruz 1978-1984Todd Dunn 1996-1997Todd Dunwoody 1997-2002Todd Erdos 1997-2001Todd Fischer 1986-1986Todd Frohwirth 1987-1996Todd Greene 1996-2006Todd Haney 1992-1998 MetTodd Helton 1997-2006Todd Hollandsworth 1995-2006Todd Hundley 1990-2003 MetTodd Jones 1993-2006Todd Linden 2003-2006Todd Pratt 1992-2006 Met and always a MetTodd Revenig 1992-1992Todd Ritchie 1997-2004Todd Rizzo 1998-1999 Open your ears, Jerky!Todd Sears 2002-2003Todd Self 2005-2005 Met Minor LeaguerTodd Steverson 1995-1996Todd Stottlemyre 1988-2002 Met Coach SonFrank Todd 1898-1898Jackson Todd 1977-1981 MetJim Todd 1974-1979Todd Van Poppel 1991-2004 Met Spring Training InviteeTodd Walker 1996-2006Todd Wellemeyer 2003-2006Todd Williams 1995-2006Todd Worrell 1985-1997Todd Zeile 1989-2004 Double MetNotice how recent a vintage the Todd series is, with all first-name Todd's debuting since 1987.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 ]espn insider is saying mets are going after todd williams.... I believe the NYPost mentioned it yesterday - something like: sources say Mets have asked Baltimore about ... - which is likely where espn picked it up from.Isn't it great how "inside" that info is? Certainly worth the price if you ask me.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Do they at least admit that they're swiping it from the Post or are they pretending that it's some kind of exclusive info they dug up on their own?ESPN has ben known to take credit for everything in sports short of their invention.
