Confirmed, and OTR, for you cite-demanders: Duquette just said on the Evan Roberts show at 12:01 pm, that questions about Kazmir�s durability were a factor in deciding to trade him.

I don't think that comes as a surprise to anyone. The problem in my mind all along was not that Kazmir should be untouchable but rather in over-projecting what they thought Zambrano was/would become.
What Met fans really need to do at this point is ... Let ... It .. Go.

Or, we could all make it real simple and just do what Joe Badabingo does:
For about 2 years after that trade he asked everyone he ever interviewed; writers, announcers, Met mgmt, execs from other teams, etc., whether it was Rick Peterson who ordered Kaz dealt. Every answer he ever got - including from Peterson himself - was that RP had little or nothing to do with it, that his only input was in thinking that Zambrano is someone he could work with -- the infamous "10 minutes" comment which was first leaked then overblown as the bad pr started coming down the pike.
And then, after each interview, Joe would hang up the phone and say; 'well I don't care what anyone says, it was all Peterson's doing'.

Nothing like a search for the truth.
