Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Strikeout and no-hit king in hospital (Round Rock, Texas-AP) January 26, 2007 - Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan has been hospitalized with an undisclosed ailment.His son says the 59-year-old strikeout king checked into the Round Rock Medical Center for treatment of recurring symptoms from a pre-existing medical condition. Reid Ryan declined to specify the condition, but said it was not an emergency.Ryan had double-bypass heart surgery in 2000.Ryan is to be transferred to a Houston hospital for further evaluations.In his 27-year major league career he played for the Mets, Angels, Astros and Rangers. He struckout a total of 5,714 batters and threw seven no-hitters. Both are major league records.Ryan is the majority owner of two minor league affiliates of the Astros.

He has occasional bouts of elephant butt.
