Maybe he can find us some examples where 8-year deals for players who will be 31 before the term even starts were good ideas?ARod was 25 when his lenghty deal started; Jeter was 27 for his, Helton 26 & Manny 28. Pedro was 26 when he signed w/Boston and Beltran not yet 28 on his NYM debut. Soriano turns 31 in January. Oh yeah, he's also not as good as any of the above.
