Quirky, number 97-wearing, left-handed specialist Joe Beimel was left of the NLDS roster after cutting his hand on some glass in his hotel room yesterday. With the desperate need for our offense to kick ass this series, this news now looms quite freaking large. Former DRay Mark Hendrickson is now the lone lefty in the Dodger pen. Sorry if this was already posted in one the other threads.

Those hotel water glasses....
Too bad though, I really hate to see anyone miss out, enemy or not.

(why do MLB.com sites need to have popups? Do they really need advertising revenue?)

Is it just me or do ballplayers suffer an inordinate number of "broken-glass-in-hotel" injuries?
I mean, have any of you heard of anybody other than a ballplayer suffering one of these?

Dickshot put it best in the KTE thread:

]That's one crafty lefty. Amazing how "tequila bottle" becomes "water glass," "hotel bar" becomes "hotel room" and "guy in bar" became "sink."

Define "need".

If you saw a few thousand dollars lying on the floor, with the promise of finding another stack of bills in the same place every day, would you walk away?

Not me. :)
