It's silly to think that this is necessary, but there seem to be one or two among us who enjoy misery, and might be happier with a Mets loss than a win.

So who are you rooting for? The Mets or the Dodgers?

PA plates have a 7-digit limit for vanity plates or I'd be using that one, too. That is, if I got to the DMV before Cooby.

Yeah, Connecticut wouldn't allow it either but if it did it would look like this...

Or maybe this version would be better ...

You'd think Mets V Dodgers would be in the 8PM slot with the nations two biggest TV markets and all.....

EDITED:
8 PM games in New York start at 5 PM LA time. They might feel that would eliminate a lot of possible LA vewers.
And 8PM games in LA start at 11PM NY time.

True. That makes it a day game for Pacific Time Zone fans.

PS - I voted the Mets, of course.

The TV suits didn't care that Mets fans were watching the playoffs v AZ with 11 pm start times on the east coast.

I remember games 1 and 2 in Phoenix started at 11 p.m. I videotaped the games and then woke up at 5 to watch them before I went to work.

I think (though I'm not sure I'm remembering this right) whatever network carried the games realized that it was a foolish move to freeze out the majority of the New York audience.

The Mets opened the NLDS on the West Coast again the following year, and there were no 11 p.m. games.
