metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Keith is back in the booth so there is much banter going on between the three....
Guest vtmet Guests Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 That has to be the ugliest lineup that the Mets have used all year...1/2/3/4 isn't bad, but 5/6/7/8/9 is awful....
Guest KC Guests Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 9? Where did you want to bat Hernandez?Nothing's ugly this last stretch, except someone needlessly getting hurt ornot getting enough AB's to keep 'em fresh. I'm worried about Beltran.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Good game tonight,El Duque looking great again....where is everyone?
Guest KC Guests Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Friday, low-level holiday, game means nothing ... Keith cracks me up.Would it kill him to start sentences with, "I think" or "in my opinion"?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I think Keith is drunk or something...he's fucking hilarious tonight.
Guest KC Guests Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Did Ricky just hit a homer? It wasn't just a homer, it was crushed?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Yeah he crushed that ball..Delgado gets a free walk so the Nats can pitch to Wright..come on David......
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Mets lose for the sixth time in the last eight games...but on a good note El Duque looked good and the A lineup was not playing....

Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I was surprised not by the paid attendance but by the actual attendance. Looked like 35-40 were actually in the park tonight, despite the holiday, weather (it was a bit chilly) and meaninglessness of the game.Nice acknowledgement of Joan Hodges who was in the park tonight and turns 80 next week.I would've liked to see LoDuca instead of Franco pinch-hitting, especially given that LoDuca was coming into the game if the Mets had tied it up...and that Julio hasn't been hitting for shit lately.Maybe it was just my perspective but Zimmerman's hit though the left side wasn't really hustled after and I think we could've prevented that run from scoring on it.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Zim's hit was a real seeing-eye ugly shot. Delgado was holding his guy on, IIRC, otherwise he'd have had an easy play. They say Dooka is hurt and Darling sounded a little confident when he "predicted" they won't go to the A lineup again till Tuesday. What disappointed me was Wright weakly grounding out after they dissed him like that. In April or May that was a guaranteed shot off the wall.Endy & the GR-double: Just the second ball that landed in the field of play behind him this year.

What would Willie have done if we tied it? Down 1, it's not far out of the realm of possibility.
