Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Once upon a time, the rosters of teams were stable from year to year and fans became familiar with the players on their teams. Then free agency and increased trading came along adding frequent turnover to rosters so fans ended up rooting for the laundry. Now we've reached the point where the laundry is in a constant state of change as well.

Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I like the sound of the Diamondbacks' change. I had no problem with the purple and teal, except that it didn't really fit with the snake and desert theme. It was more like they were trying to pick the trendy colors so they'd sell more merchandise.I can't picture a "sandy red" (unless they mean a clay color) but I'm looking forward to seeing it.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Sandy red to me sounds like the Astros "brick" color, but I wish they'd stop pretending they don;t actually belong in orange.
