Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 The Mets Carlos Delgado and the Cardinals Albert Pujols engaged in a two man slugfest. Pujols hit 2 home runes including a grand slam while driving in all of the Cardinals runs. Carlos Delgado hit a solo home run, then added a grand slam, the 400th home run of his career, to keep the Mets in the game. However, it was Carlos Beltran that provided the margin of victory for the Mets with a dramatic 2 run, walk off home run against Cardinals closer, Jason Isringhausen. In honor of the player selected as POTG, I have a case of Corolla Gold Helles Lager from the Weeping Radish Brewpub from North Carolina's outerbanks. I think it's only fitting that the pitchers do the serving during this clubhouse celebration.
