MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 You think he's been up and down a lot this year?]Ron Flores, relief pitcher for the A's. He's young, lefthanded and has a pulse. He's spent so much time riding the Capitol Corridor between Sacramento and Oakland that all the conductors know him by name. In total, he's been with the big club four times. He's currently with the A's while Huston Street is on the disabled list. The Ron Flores 2006 Timeline: -Started the season in Sacramento. -April 28: recalled when Rich Harden was placed on the DL. appeared in eight games. -June 4: sent back to Sacramento when Harden was activated. -June 18: recalled when Steve Karsay (finally) retired. appeared in seven games (including a four-inning stint during an extra-inning victory in San Diego -- got credit for the "W"). -July 17: sent back to Sacramento when the club called up Jason Windsor. -July 27: recalled when Scott Sauerbeck was placed on the DL. appeared in two games. -August 14: sent back to Sacramento when both Joe Kennedy and Sauerbeck were activated. -August 20: recalled when Huston Street was placed on the DL. has yet to appear. MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 25, 2006 Author Posted August 25, 2006 JD, thanks. I missed one of Bell's moves. And he has a chance to beat Flores if Flores stays up and Heath gets recalled again when rosters expand. Good catch.Later
