Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 There is no joy in DC. The mighty Edgy is blacked out.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Huge (for the first inning) K of Howard there.Finish the job against Pat the Bat now.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Edgy DC wrote:There is no joy in DC. The mighty Edgy is blacked out. From ESPNs Sunday night game? That bites.Phils threaten with a one out double by Dellucci and an Utley single off of Reyes glove, but Maine Ks the big Ryan Howard and gets Burrell to pop out--and it was a nice play by Reyes down the line in short left to end the threat.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Mets go 1-2-3 in the 1st.Its really a bit odd not seeing Abreu in the middle of that Phils lineup. He was there for soooooooooo long.Maine sets the Phils down nicely,1-2-3 in the 2nd, notching his 2nd K of the game.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Yeah, they give up Abreu and the Mets Nady. That's about even.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 There we go. A Metly hit.Youse watching at home... does this Otter guy have good stuff or are the Mets just flailing?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Valentin with the 1st hit for the Mets, a 2 out double ripped past Ryan Howard down the right field line. But Chavez dribbles a grounder to second and thats the end of the 2nd.(I was hoping to see Wright show his appreciation at being the new rich kid in town , but he dribbled out to the pitcher.)

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Twenty consecutive scoreless innings pitched for the Pine Tree State.
Guest KC Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Don't forget to record:Hearst's "bricks" arrived at the end of last week's Deadwood ... all hell isgonna break loose tonight.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Milledge has a fan club:The Milledge People, all dressed up like the Village People and dancing at the rail.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 He's heading for the Interstate. I wonder what kind of dance that will start.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 I could head out to a bar.I could.I won't.I might.I won't.Where's my wallet...?

Guest cooby Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 What I liked was it didn't look like they just threw those outfits together, they were really nice!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 I figure the bar gets ESPN. That's who is broadcasting this one, right?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Hate to say this, but Mathieson looks particularly on his game.Another quick inning for him,1-2-3.Strikes out Reyes swinging to end the 3rd.After watching Maine pitch the 4th, I have to say the same thing. Not fantastic or overpowering stuff, but good pitches in great placement.Howard did hit one hard but the other two outs were pop ups.0-0 thru 3 and a half.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 But we got a Lo Double to open the innng.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 LoDuca with a lead off double over Delluccis head in right.Beltraan follows with a pop out to shallow right.Delgado..........
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Its about time we started seeing Delgado park one......or two.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 OK, two fat ones on for Mr. $55 Million.
