Guest cleonjones11 Guests Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Could be unless the Mets remember how to pitch top to bottom..
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 More panic button pressing.Reserve? Or Reverse?
Guest KC Guests Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 I came here this morning with the intent of bumping the worries thread, but this one will do. Ya know, Mets fans, they could be setting us up forthe biggest regular season failure in the history of mankind.SC=0
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 KC, that sounds like something I would expect from a life long Cubs fan. Defeatist attitude be damned. I'm not worried about making the playoffs. I'm concerned that our starting pitching isn't good enough and deep enough in a short series where it's win or go home.
Guest cooby Guests Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 One things for sure, the pitchers better stay healthy and not eat any bad chicken and stuff.
Guest KC Guests Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Yeah, it's tough to lose a dozen game lead this time of year ... like everyonelosing when you lose. If there's any team that can do it, it's this one. I'm nothappy at all - and I agree with you should they make the playoffs, but that'sa different thread.

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 When not playing all Mets players should be encased in large plastic bubbles and fed liquid scientific diets.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 When I look over my shoulder, I don't see the '64 Cardinals anywhere.
Guest cleonjones11 Guests Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 About to be 10 up Mets folding like a cheap tent
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Steve finally stopped acting like a weenie, so I guess we needed that void filled. I guess.Good to know the game is over after a 3-run lead in the first. I can turn it off and do something else.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 ]Phillies 11 back 1964 in reserve?Good call.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 It is!I'd say that collapse can still be held in reserve for now.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Talk about rhyme & reason in bumping threads.

We pitched well enough to win 2 of 3 this weekend.
