Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 What a great trip to Atlanta. The Mets completed their beat down of their long time nemesis, the Braves, with a 10-6 win at Turner Field. The win completed a three game sweep of the Braves and exorcised some old demons in the process. It was great fun to watch a Braves series and not hear or see the dreadful Tomahawk chop drone from the Braves fans. Tom Glavine didn't have it today, but the offense and bullpen more than compensated for his rough outing. For the finishing touch to this great weekend of baseball, we have lined up a very special reward for the team. All the way from Norway, we have 3 cases of Aase Bock beer for the team to savor on the flight back to Pittsburgh. Being good guests, I think the team should leave a bottle or two behind in the visitors locker room. Because after the whipping we just put on them, the Braves are probably looking to get their Aass Bock.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Beltran gets the brews for his 2 HR/5RBI effort.
Guest cooby Guests Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Holy heck what a tough choice. I thought Delgado was hurt?cute beer, Doc
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 That's the best I could come up with since there apparently aren't any Broom Ales or Sweep Beers out there.

Guest GYC Guests Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Between this and the Schaefer POTG, Beltran is gonna have to start going to AA meetings.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Give him all the beer he can drink as long as he keeps hitting.
Guest cooby Guests Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 What's that little picture of? A rabbit digging a hole?
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 What little picture are you referring to?
Guest cooby Guests Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 The animal on that right hand bottle of beer. The rabbits in my gardens don't use shovels
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 After doing a little reseasrch I found that it is not a rabbit with a shovel, but a goat drinking from a Stein of beer.Might be time to change those contact lenses and take a break from the beer for a while. Of course, I couldn't tell either until I found the above blow up of the label.
Guest cooby Guests Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Geez, you'd better make me an appointment....
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 It really does look like a rabbit with a shovel in the small version.
Guest cooby Guests Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 You'd think it'd be a picture of a donkey.
