After striking out the first two in the inning, a hit and a walk bring the tying run to the plate.

Fasten your seatbelts - this day is far from over.

Whew - Wright's throw to second wasn't beautiful, but it was good enough to get the final out of the inning. 9-6, going to the 6th.

I still would keep those seatbelts fastened.

Ex-Met Tyler Yates pitches a quick 1-2-3 top of the 6th for Atlanta.

I learned always to wear a seatbelt, back in the 70's, before it was a law.

Bradford is pitching the bottom of the 6th. Gary Cohen speculates that Willie may use a lot of pitchers today, to give them some work.

One on, two out.

Feliciano comes in with runners on the corners, two out.

Gary's going on about Feliciano's problems stranding inherited runners this year. Oh great.

Whew! Feliciano strikes out LaRoche and strands the two runners.

9-6 after 6.

Blech - the Mets had runners on first and third with none out, and strand them.

9-6, onto the bottom of the 8th.

we should start doing the tomahawk chop at Shea the next time the Mets are beating the Braves at home..

Once again, after two outs, the Braves get two runners on base and bring the tying run to the plate.

Enter Sandman, with two out in the 8th.

Why? Because the Braves have us where they want us?

Again the Braves get the tying run to the plate.

And Wagner will be called on to get the 4 out save.

Come on Billy!
