MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 Do you think the CPF is different when the Mets are winning rather than losing? How so?Later
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 Choices 3 and 4 are the same, no?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 More fun, although there could be other reasons why things are more fun around here...
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 I think it's been more fun, but for the other reasons that Irish hinted at. And like Elster, I can't see the difference between the third and fourth choice.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 I went with #3. The Mets' winning has nothing to do with the level of fun around here.I was having a particularly miserable time posting here when they were 10-2.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 15, 2006 Author Posted June 15, 2006 Yancy, 88,When I was coming up with the questions, I thought there might be a scenario that while things around here could be the same in terms of amount of participation and viewpoint, there would be a certain edge to the writing. That translates to me as not having as much fun. That was sort of based on a comment a while ago that there didn't seem to be as much participation in POTG voting in games the Mets had lost.Vote your conscience.Later
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 More Karate Kid material is a good thing, and I guess more winining leads to more being a position to sweep the other teams legs, which triggers more Karate Kid material.Do you have a problem with that, Mister?

Guest Hillbilly Guests Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 Back in the olden' days the best writing contributions came when good Met teams played badly (circa 1998-2000).IGTs are more fun when the Mets are winning. That much seems clear.
Guest KC Guests Posted June 15, 2006 Posted June 15, 2006 I don't think the CPF funometer is any higher or lower with respect to the win / loss record. Bitching and complaining about the Mets is fun and en-joying their success with ya'll is fun. The posters here are a lot more objective here than some other posters think, but I'm covering old stale ground there.
