Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 I voted Eh. If it was up to me, I'd can both the Crappiness and the Happiness thread. I'm in a minority here, but an Atlanta loss doesn't make me any happier than does a loss by the Phillies, Marlins, or Nationals. They're a division rival, but no more evil than any of the others.
Guest Bret Sabermetric Guests Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 You don't want to be saying anything bad about the Mets on this site, ever, Buzzkill.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 i'm not sure how identifying any moments of triple crappiness can bring us any joy, or greater appreciation of the mets, or even insight into the mets.at least the tripple happinesses, while not really providing insight in to the mets, can give us joy.unless there's some therapeutic benefit to triple crappiness. overall i vote nay.
Guest KC Guests Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 I voted yay. I usually don't take the time to dig up the photos for either ofthe triples but sometimes the images that people post are pretty funny.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 I voted no,it seems to me that we will have way too many days of triple crappiness, tripple happinesses is kinda rare so i enjoy it when it happens, how many times did it happen last season?

They're a division rival, but no more evil than any of the others.I see your point, but I'm sure the creators, Williets and JD, would change it up if it turned out that it was one of the other division rivals that we would wind up fighting down the stretch of the season for the title, or maybe Quadrupple or Quintuple depending on how many were grouped in with us Just happens that the Braves are the 11 time defending NL East Champions, even the MFY mixed in two wild card slots in their run since 1995!
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 I voted "eh".No big thing. If folks want it, why not?But to me, its the ultimate in self-flagellation. We follow the scores, and know when a triple crappy day has happened. Asking us to participate in talking about it (Not the individual games, the trifecta) is like asking us to rub salt in our own wounds. Later

Its better to post Johnny Cash flipping off a camera than it is taking a baseball bat to your personal property, or worse
