Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Is that our first successful sacrifice bunt of the year?

Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Damn - the inning ends on a play at the plate.

Diamond Dad Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Gamecast comes up with the following odd-sounding description:"Chavez safe at first on right fielder Jordans throwing error, Castro to second"
Guest cooby Guests Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 So is it an hit or an error? Oh never mind, that says Chavez
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Gary Cohen just said that Glavine has more sac hits than any pitcher in history.I didn't know that.I'll have to look up who has the all-time record. I would have guessed it was a pitcher, but I suppose not.
Diamond Dad Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Jordan is playing 1B, not RF.Castro out at the plate! ouch. Well, we knew he wasn't fast
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Jordan bounced the throw into second that would've forced Castro out. E-3.The flyball by Reyes was hit into medium left field. Diaz played it perfectly and caught it with his momentum moving towards home and gunned a strike on-the-fly to Pratt who caught it ahead of Castro and put the tag down. It was fairly close, but he was clearly out.
Diamond Dad Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Did Reyes take a pitch, or hack at the first offering?
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 The TBS guys say Die-az, too.
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Delgado's proving to be a better firstbaseman than I had been led to expect. Nice grab of a pop up in the stands.
