Well, Nats lose a toughie. At least Guillen didn't get hit by a pitch, although as it turns out, Patterson hit 2 batters with no Houston retaliation.

Go figure.

Mark Mulder worked into the 9th in new new Busch Stadium today before giving way to Braden Looper, who looped up a bunch of 84-86 mph fastballs. He somehow got Carlos Lee to ground into a DP for the first two outs, but gave up a double to Billy Hall, a single to Rickie Weeks, and just got lifted for Izzy who promptly gave up a single to Prince to allow another run to be charged to Braden Laverne. 2-out rally in progress in St. Louie...

The Milwaukee rally falls short.

Mulder's 2-run homer was the difference in that game.
