Guest Bret Sabermetric Guests Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Song almost got me killed. My garage band (I played bass) worked up "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" but no one wanted to hear all eighteen minutes and we didn;t know how to cut it short.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 BTW, I was amused last night when Bradford came in to "Yellow Submarine."
patchyfogg Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 ="Frayed Knot"]I think the home team's stadium should take it upon themselves to assign songs to opposing players. Like maybe when Prince Fielder hauls his huge butt to the plate they can chime in with 'Baby Got Back'. Or they could go with 'Having my Baby' if Chipper knocks up another fast-food waitress and stuff like that.In that vein, playing anything by The Hooters might even be funnier for Chipper.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 Another really bad choice for Wagner: "Billy, Don't Be a Hero."

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Entertaining article on the entrance song.http://www.slate.com/id/2139937/?nav=fo
Guest SwitchHitter Guests Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Thanks for the link. I lost track of this thread.Where have I been SK? I've been naughty. I've been playing simulation baseball. Back when Wagner had his 200th save, I wrote a parody for him called "Enter Wagner". It might could be adapted to have Metly lyrics. Or someone else can just take the idea and come up with their own. I still like Wagner, especially since he spoke his mind about Astros ownership. (My mind, too, but that's beside the point.)
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Well, it's good seeing you again. And you'll be pleased to hear that my little southpaw chose number 13 for Little League this season
Guest SwitchHitter Guests Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Mine never had that option. They skipped 13 in the uni numbers because I think they thought no one would want a bad luck number. Idiots.
