Frayed Knot

Monday: low/mid 50s, partly cloudy & breezy*

* I hate that word. I think TV stations and such don't want to be seen as bearers of bad news so they use that word because it doesn't sound as bad as 'windy'. Most places need a near hurricane before they'll concede to using 'windy' even though I've been near knocked down by 'breezy'.

Current forcast shows maybe some light rain for Monday ... although more for later in the day than early. Still around mid-50s, no longer any mention of "breezy"

Weather.com is calling for thundershowers beginning at 4 p.m. and continuing for several hours.

Accuweather.com has a less forboding forecast. Cloudy at 1, rainy at 2, cloudy at 3, and rainy at 4.

Forecast is looking much better this morning:

]Today: Showers likely, mainly after 5pm. Increasing clouds, with a high around 58. East wind between 6 and 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

If the rain holds off until 5 we should be fine.

For those who will be attending, the 58 doesn't sound too bad either. I just hope there's not too much wind.

I actually posted the above at 6:02 a.m. Is the forum still on Standard Time?

Which leads me to a question.
What was the longest rain delay you ever sat through?

Sat through a few 3 hour rain delays. Looking at "Sheadar", I'm a bit more pessimistic. The start of this game will be delayed for about an hour or two, but then they will have a window to play it in its entirety.
