I agree, MF, but I have to admit, I was really happy when I got drafted by the Dodgers instead of the Yankees when I was a kid. Even though the Dodgers sucked.

My Yankee friends never would have let me live it down.

Did they really do that? That's pretty damn funny. Lowell loves to play up being the birth place of the painter Whistler and the writer Kerouac although I think both of them got out of town as soon as they could.
