Note to MBTN psycho-numerologists:

"Not bad for a guy who was a big fan of the great Bobby Orr, yet instead of wearing Orrs number 4, he wore the jersey of the famed No. 7, Phil Esposito", thus perhaps explaining Glavine's choice in baseball uniform number.

I still tell my kids in the car - "Buckle up - don't be like Tom Glavine."

Yogi a closet hoser?
Who woulda' thunk it?

I'm still laughing at the mental image of him on skates.

For all the jokes about Yogi's looks and about his general, umm ... 'Yoginess', he was actually a terrific athlete who seemed to be a natural in whatever he picked up according to numerous sources.
I wasn't aware of the hockey, but I do know that he was a highly sought after football (and I believe also soccer) player as a youth, played some very good golf after his pro days were over, and was undefeated in a short stint as a boxer.

You shouldn't need a mental image, as there's an actual image in that article.

Yeah, for all the easy observations that he didn't appear as an athlete should, how many men have the genes to have three sons and see one become a minor league catcher, a second become an NFL kick returner, and a third become an 11-year major league shortstop?

Yes, I saw it. I meant that image is going to stick in my mind for quite a while. :)

Good genes.
