Why would we have been talking about any of these guys and his agent?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Bross's agency also represents Tom Glavine, Kristin Benson, and Wally Backman.I think the name came up in one of the Gotham Baseball stories --- the one complaining that the Mets didn't hire Backman.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 he's not a good player, but he's a better 5th outfielder than the guy he's taking over for (gerald williams), so i guess theres no reason not to like the move.
Guest abogdan Guests Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Perfectly acceptable 5th OF/pinch runner acquired for virtually nothing. If he gets beat out in Spring Training, so be it, but if he doesn't he's better than a lot of what was sitting at the end of the Met bench last year.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Last year's bench was huge. Not sure what you didn't like.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 The lack of power and the overpopulation of infielders shouldn't have happened and shouldn't again.
