Mr. Anderson goes to Washington.

The #1 memory of Marlon was that inside the parker against the Halos.

You'll be missed.

I'm sorry to see him go but very happy for Marlon, he was great wasn't he?, and he gave us a season hightlight with his inside the park home run, blowing bubbles as he rounded 2nd was just brilliant.

Marlon was one of four Mets from Montgomery, part of a bumper crop of 20 Alabamans.

Spent 02 with the Phils; 03 with the D-Rays; 04 with the Cards; 05 with the Mets. Finally gets to unpack in Washington.

A fine year he had for us, but expecting a repeat would be a stretch. If he didn't repeat fans would hate him. So this is good for him and for us.

I guess its time to admit I was wrong. When he was signed last year, I posted that it was a mistake. But his play this year turned me into a fan of his.
Bye, Marlon, I'll miss ya'.

Greatest game I've ever been to

I wouldn't have expected him to sign so quickly, but then again I wouldn't have given him two years. That might open a door for Lambin or Keppinger though, so perhaps it's a blessing in disguise.

Marlon Anderson was a valuable bench player for the Mets last season. He was far better than I had expected him to be. I was hoping he would be around for the upcoming season, but I don't think I would have guaranteed two years.

I wish him well in Washington.

guys like Marlon A come and go and you just try to get a few more hits out of them when they are here. Someone will take his spot.

But he and Woodward were nice bench guys to have. Glad we still have Woodward who is perhaps the baldest man I have ever seen. Ever see that Homer Simpson line of hair that he would have if he didn't shave it? Geez.

My guess is guys like Daubach, Offerman and Gerald Williams are all in camp and we add some other castoffs to see what they have left in their tank.

Could be worse, it could be the Garcia/Spencer tandem that we had. {shudder}

They were fun for a while, peaking with the 3 game sweep of the Yankees. Needless to say, the bottom fell quickly.
