What's that movie?

I saw a very short part of a movie on tv the other day. Val Kilmer was in an office and Michael Madsen came in and beat the crap out of him. Ring a bell to anyone? A cursory glance at IMDB.com and google revealed a movie, Kill Me Again, with both of them in it, but I don't know if that's it. It was a younger, thinner Madsen, and Kill Me Again is one of the earliest on Madsen's IMDB page so that's a point in its favor.

Not much to go on, I know. Any help is appreciated. If you know it you get a prize.

Madsen was also in The Doors, but that wasn't it, I'm guessing.

I once saw a film at 2:00 AM. I coundn't have been more than 14, probably younger. It was a mock Bergman film (though I couldn't have gotten the references then) in which characters spoke in mock-Swedish and played badminton with Death. It might have been an eight-minute sketch or it might have been a feature-lenth film. I don't know. Bernadette Peters may or may not have been in this. Any help would be appreciated. It may just exist in my mind.

I knew some wise guy was going to post something like that. Accept my apologies in advance if you're being serious and not poking fun.

When I was around five I saw part of a movie that I had nightmares about for over three years. Little green dots flew into things (like a microwave) and exploded. One guy got one caught on his shirt and tried to blow it off with a hair dryer...and I'm being serious, I have vivid memories of what was going on that whole day. I don't think this is a figment of my imagination.

Anyway either that or the Kilmer/Madsen movie? Anyone?

cooby - are you sure you aren't thinking of Miracle on 34th Street, when the guy from Macy's convinced his wife to let Kris stay with them for the holiday season, and the wife telephones and says, "We'd love to have Santa Claus stay with us." (Or something like that)

cooby - NBC is airing Miracle on 34th Street (the good, 1947 version - not the drecky 1994 remake) at 2:00 on Thanksgiving Day. Set your VCR and then tell me if I was right.

(I've been trying to find the exact quote, but I'm coming up short. There are some wonderful quotes from that movie, though.)

I believe the Bergman spoof you saw was called "The Dove." I saw it in college along with things like "Bambi Meets Godzilla." Here's the IMDB link:
