Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 Yankee Fan Tiffany L. Battista recounts a sordid night with Felix Heredia, in a candy-colored essay that never really gets to the facts.Count the number of "as a" phrases. "As a writer...." "As a woman...." "...as a life-long Yankee fan...." "As a writer..."I hear she's a writer. Why would she be unalllowed to comment specifically? Is there a pending lawsuit? Has she been paid to sign a non-disclosure agreeement?
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 What's all the colored text about?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 It makes the essay look yummy.
Guest holychicken Guests Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 "So many sports writers are limited by what they can & will say but in blog land I've got no restrictions from wimpy editors or rigid advertisers-Let?s Get To It!"It's funny that this is her "motto" or "mission statement" yet she still can't say anything.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 I felt like I was dreaming or watching one of those horrible movies on the Lifetime channel. But I wasn’t.Powerful, powerful stuff.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 She should see some of the made for tv movies shown on the Sci-Fi Channel. They make the Lifetime movies look like Cannes Film Festival Material.Later
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 Does anyone besides me get the idea that Edgy has apparently rigged up his computer to light up like a department store in December at the moment some Met or former Met's name appears anywhere on the internet?I mean between this thread and the 'EBay' and 'Rico Brogna' ones, I just get this feeling that if the words 'Jesse' and 'Gonder' were to appear in the same paragraph in the Tacoma Times or whatever, bells would start to go off atop his machine directing him to the story.I find it both impressive and slightly frightening.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 When is she going to tell what happened?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 When they fire me, I'm taking the computer with me.
