nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 a huge upgrade over what we have of course, but i have to think the asking price will be hard to stomach: Milledge, Petit, Zambrano, Diaz, and A. Hernandez maybe? i have mixed feelings about him and his home/road splits aren't very pretty either.

smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 If they want an experienced major league starting pitcher, I'll talk to them.If they want an experienced major league starting pitcher and Brian Bannister, I'd still talk to them.If it's Milledge and/or Petit or else no deal, it's no deal.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Sigh, is this the third straight year the Mets are after Soriano?,I've lost count,I'll go with what 58 said...
Guest holychicken Guests Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 NO SORIANO!!!I studied all the statistics, have looked beyond the numbers and did an objective literary comparison of all the sports writers across the nation and it has become clear to me that (IOW, this is all opinion), by far and away Soriano is the most overrated player in baseball. That being said, there is no way we are going to get him for anything less than 2 of our best prospects. So, I say, no thanks.
