metirish Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 WWSB should get a raise for that point,I thought Garner should have won...
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2005 Author Posted November 9, 2005 Yes, Willie got a vote. This just in: That voter is now under a Doctor's care and is being heavily sedated. We fervently hope that by next year, the voter will be well enough to actually watch a Mets game that Willie manages.Later
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 also getting votes are ex-mets Torre and John Gibbons.
Guest SwitchHitter Guests Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 'Irish, the reason Gar didn't win was that the vote took place in September. At that time, no one knew that the 15-30 team would play in the post-season, much less become the NL champion.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted November 10, 2005 Posted November 10, 2005 Bochy is also an exie. This is Cox's third award. Even more of an achievement is that it's his second consecutive year wining it. I believe that's unprecedented.. It's really difficult for your team to have expectations low enough to exceed them (and a team exceeding expectations is pretty much the universal standard for the MoY Award) two years in a row.
