According to Mets.com, Duaner was transferred to the 60-day DL.

I guess that made room for DiFelice on the 40-man roster. The Mets already had Bannister, Padilla and Victor Zambrano on the 60-day DL though, and I thought the limit was 3 60-day DL slots that don't count against the 40 man limit.

Strange.

Ricky Ledee was signed to the 40-man roster on Tuesday, with Anderson Garcia DFAed to make room.

After Tuesday's game, Marrerro was DFAed and Ledee added to the 25-man roster.

Assuming that Duaner doesn't count against the 40, that leaves the Mets with an open spot on the 40-man roster.

According to today's Daily News, that apparent roster spot will be filled by Ruben Rivera if he is able to play. He is currently caring for a seriously ill mother, and it is not certain if/when he can return to baseball.
