Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Poor Baerga. Everyone forgets that he batted third for a nasty Indians lineup.
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I thought it was a steal for the Mets at the time.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I always regretted losing Kent. I saw a decent career ahead of him. And he has surpassed even my expections.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Look who's still got power. How you holding up?
Guest SwitchHitter Guests Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Hey, you can hijack the thread if you want to. Satellite TV is still working. Though the wind is getting up past 40 around here, there's still not been much rain. I'd'a been here earlier but at 10 your time I put my younger kids to bed with stories and lullabies and then a friend (Cardinals fan, but hey, it's baseball) called because he was lonely so we talked for a good while. According to the news, there's a big fire in Galveston and only about 8 guys to put it out. Nothing much is happening here yet and we really don't anticipate it being worse than a day of severe thunderstorms once the heavy stuff finds us. We sometimes lose power during severe thunderstorms, so that's a real possibility but we'll still have water and gas.
Guest sharpie Guests Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Jeff Kent tried to buy my sister's house when he was a Giant. They didn't sell to him.
