I remember the Mets hung some ugly losses on Pirate closer ElRoy Face early on, but I don't think he hung around long enough to be high on this list.

I'll guess Maloney in here, too. He and Al Jackson engaged in some classic duels, with "Little Al" holding his own pretty well.

Impressed that Mets had a winning record against Carlton - prolly not too many other clubs could say the same.

I was disappointed that the Mahler guess was wrong, so I looked him up.

Rick went 2-12 vs. the Mets, and Mickey (who came first, while the Mets were very bad) went 0-5.

The Mahler family is 2-17 vs. the Mets. Let's hope some of their sons are in the Brave system now.
