Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Game day has bit the dust, methinks. Either that or this game is progresing really slowly. How many pitching changes have there been this inning?_____________________________This post had the designation 154) Tommy Davis
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I can't access mets.com, espn gameday is stuck at 4 to 1 Nats, what's the score?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2005 Author Posted September 15, 2005 No 1st base for Mike.Gerald Williams to RF, Cairo to 1st.Heilman still dealing for the Mets.Washington used 3 pitchers that inning even as the Mets got zero hits: Livan, Eischen, then Hughes.5-4 Mets top of 8th.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2005 Author Posted September 15, 2005 2 impressive (and dare I say; high leverage?) innings for Heilman:7th: K - BB - GiDP8th: K - K - KRoberto has been warming up already "just in case". I say let him pitch the 9th. Heilman's batting spot will come up this inning.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I say....I say you're right!
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Heil! man strikes out the side._____________________________This post had the designation 154) Tommy Davis

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2005 Author Posted September 15, 2005 Looks like Bennett ® - Guzman (Sw I believe) then the pitcher's spot. The roster shows Washington with 12! reserve players (might not all be healthy). Schneider hits lefty might hit for Bennett. Vidro & Baerga switch-hit. Guillen is sitting today but he's a righty. Most other names are lesser known types.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Mets used Heilman for the 7th and 8th because they didn't want to lose till the 9th?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2005 Author Posted September 15, 2005 Marlon Ks, Reyes GOsWe're goin to the 9th
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 How are the fans treating Looper?

He was a college 3rd baseman. -- 1B to RF + E on Williams and the leadoff runner is on 2nd. Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 15, 2005 Author Posted September 15, 2005 Guillen gets plunked - also gets a PRWilkerson (L) up with 1st & 3rd, 1 out
