OK, now, no more charitable Schaefer points.

Bammo!

Takatsu with an impressive Shea debut inning: GO - K - K
He even got Guzman, something no one else on this staff seems to be able to pull off.

Floyd's 2005 line with RISP (before today): .286/.407/.557/.964.

With RISP and two outs: .303/.432/.591/1.023.

Nice.

Game day has bit the dust, methinks. Either that or this game is progresing really slowly. How many pitching changes have there been this inning?

No 1st base for Mike.
Gerald Williams to RF, Cairo to 1st.

Heilman still dealing for the Mets.
Washington used 3 pitchers that inning even as the Mets got zero hits: Livan, Eischen, then Hughes.

5-4 Mets top of 8th.

2 impressive (and dare I say; high leverage?) innings for Heilman:
7th: K - BB - GiDP
8th: K - K - K

Roberto has been warming up already "just in case". I say let him pitch the 9th. Heilman's batting spot will come up this inning.

I agree! Good use of Heilman, Willie!

Looks like Bennett ® - Guzman (Sw I believe) then the pitcher's spot.

The roster shows Washington with 12! reserve players (might not all be healthy). Schneider hits lefty might hit for Bennett. Vidro & Baerga switch-hit. Guillen is sitting today but he's a righty. Most other names are lesser known types.

Ryan Zimmerman - Washington's 1st round draft pick this year! (4th overall) PHs. He was a college 3rd baseman. -- 1B to RF + E on Williams and the leadoff runner is on 2nd. Kenny Kelly - briefly Met property runs for Zimmerman.

Guzman - GOs ... runner to 3rd

Guillen PHs for the pitcher

I dream of Armando.

Matusi error ties it up.
