What happened on that fielder's chioce?

At any rate, Heilman ponies up, getting two groundouts, intentionally walking Delgado, then striking out Encarnacion & LoDuca.

Nice work, Aaron.

yes, the 2 Ks were huge.

4-1 tho, and Willis has been keepin the Mets at bay ,having them scatter 4 hits thru 7.

this is how the game looks to me, and i dont mean to make you guys relive that last inning, but I think I have a legitimate complaint when I point out that Floyd and Beltran are playin way too deep.

If this stretches the thread too much im gonna delete soon after.

The fielder's choice was a terrible decisionm by Cairo to go home -- play wasn't even close.

Watch for Padilla as he walks off the mound after this inning -- hat off or not?

Aaron wants to win. 4 strikeouts, a groundout & a popup. Good stuff.

A 3-run homer by Cairo would tie it up.

hee-hee.

I'm fucking hilarious.

We won't know. Here comes Hamulack, making his first appearance in MLB.

Wierd. Yahoo! told me that Matsui & Reyes had each singled, but then it showed the inning over after Reys & Cairo popped up.

What happened?

Hamulack looks like a tall, gum-chewing Rick Petersen.

I don't get taking Padilla out there. He's done very well against lefties this year.

It's completely and utterly gratuitous.

After Matsui reached, Reyes popped up the first pitch to 2B. Cairo did what Cairo does: hacked himself into a bad count and grounded out.

Beltran puts the Mets in biz.

Cliff still trying to do to much.

Tying run at the plate.

Looked like Beltran missed third. Don't tell.

Met's lacking a slugger on the bench still, aren't they.

Oe: Except Jacobs, if they go to Jones.

Wright fights off a shitload of nasty inside stuff and muscle an RBI single up the middle.

That's at least 3 tiumes in the last three games that a mighty shot by Floyd has been tracked down at the fence.

Here comes noted homophobic Todd Jones to try and close it: Woody, then Diaz represent the tying run.

Way to go, D-Wright!

Well, we've got Jacobs & Mientkiewicz off the bench, but they're both lefties.

Although Mientkiewicz has had some nice at bats against tough lefties this year . . .

Okay, so with Jones up, we need to pinch hit for Woody.

Do we use Anderson, Jacobs or Mientkiewicz?

I'd go with Mientkiewicz, personally, but I have an unhealthy obsession with him.

Willie will probably use Marlon. Whaddya think?

Well, Willie agreed with me and Mientiewicz popped up.

Up to Victor now.

Castro --- yes or no?

I'll say yo.

I'd leave him in there. But I've been wrong a lot tonight.

Castro strikes out and we've lost 5 of our last 7.

I blame WWSB. Again.

Zambrano should have been out for a pinch hitter, then Heilman in there for 2--3 innings.

And Cairo should never have started.

Baseball sucks.

Whiffed on 3 pitches as you know by now.

Since winning 5 straight, we've lost 5 of 6, the O has gone to total crap, and we've been getting outpitched.

I'm just nuts over the Cairo-batting-2nd thing. If WWSB is so afraid to foul up the heart of his order, slot Woody in there for Todd sakes.

i got sidetracked. I see the final, but Ill have to read up here.
