metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Oout of Towners for the 5th..Livan not happy about getting lifetd as Nats lose 6 - 5 to Padres..] Nationals starter Livan Hernandez tossed a glove, cap and jacket into the stands after being lifted in the sixth inning, and Washington went on to lose 6-5 to the San Diego Padres on Friday night on an unearned run in the ninth inning. Never one who likes to leave a game before he thinks his night's work his done, Hernandez walked very deliberately off the mound. As he reached the dugout, he threw his glove underhand into about the fifth row. After stomping down the steps, he flung a red hat, followed a few seconds later by a red warmup jacket. Florida beat the Reds 5 - 1St. Louis are beating the Braves 11 - 1Phillies got beat by the Brewers 3 - 1
