seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2005 Author Posted August 2, 2005 By the way, I love Ramon Castro. I like watching him out there; I feel like he's going to get big hits. I'm going to keep beating the Castro drum louder and louder.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 Meet the me!Meet the me!Step right up and greet the me!
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2005 Author Posted August 2, 2005 And Senor Reyes takes a strike tres cantado and el rally esta muerte. S'okay; s'tied up.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 Hey, without relaunchng the debate about re-launching the old Brewer hat, isn't the current Milwaukee insignia a violation of the ban against advertising logos? Some goofy inconsistent high strike calls behind the plate tonight.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 Great game by the capital of Egypt tonight.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 Damn. Mets do everything right and end up with two outs.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 If we lose tonight, it's Beltran's fault, all the way. I don't care that he ripped the ball and got unlucky. In a game where we're ripping apart the starting pitcher and hitting the pen hard, Beltran needs to be a part of that. Get a hit, work out a walk--whatever. Barely beating out a double play to let a run come home doesn't cut it for me. Despite the magical comeback, I'm in a pissy mood. This has "Close, but not close enough" written all over it. And I blame Beltran. And Zambrano, I suppose. Is he hurt, or what?
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 Holyfucking shit!!!!CAMERON!!!!!Belts one over the left field fence, and HOT DAMN but I'm excited again!Dougie gets a hit here and his OPS will be higher than Beltran's.
Guest GYC Guests Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 ="Rotblatt"]Holyfucking shit!!!!CAMERON!!!!!Belts one over the left field fence, and HOT DAMN but I'm excited again!Dougie gets a hit here and his OPS will be higher than Beltran's.Wow... 8O That's pretty surprising, even with Beltran's extreme underachieving.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 Piazza apparently not going to PH in the 9-spot.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 The walk does it for Dougie as well. Mientkiewicz's OPS: .744Beltran's OPS: .741sigh.
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 Come on, Woody!!!How much woud I like to have Valent in this spot?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 Great job by Woodie, ball four, c'mon Jose
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 Oops. My math was off. Beltran: .744 OPSMientkiewicz: .736 OPSSo it's not really as close as I thought. Dougie would've needed at least a triple to pass Beltran. Nonetheless, have some fucking pride, Beltran. Do something good.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 Fortunately, several of those grounders in the top of the 10th were hit slowly enough that even Cairo could get to them. Now the Egyptian leads off w/a walk.DON'T bunt please.
Guest GYC Guests Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 BELTRAN!!!!!!!!  I think I'm going to go cry.C'mon, Corneilus.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 Damn, CB has been pummelling the ball to the right side and has garbage to show for it.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 Yeah Cairo has had a great game, Beltran has been brutal, maybe Floyd will do the biz.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 Ah he shoulda bunted (only kidding)
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 Carlos, seriously . . .Maybe he should be bunting in those spots. Down to .742 OPS now. A single by Dougie ties it up; anything more puts him in the lead for the season.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 To state the obvious but tonight would be a great win, the Nats lost as did the Phillies and Marlins, come on you Mets.
