Currently, the roation order is pretty much where it was at the start of the year.

Zambrano
Ishii

Both mid-season 2004 acquisitions seem to have clearly passed Glavine, so I nominate rejiggering the rotation in the second "half."

Of course, Pedro will be the only one not eligible to start the second-half opener, so it's a rather moot point.

Of course, the Mets braintrust may meet and make a decision about Ishii, and then it'll be "My Big Zepellin Goes Haywire."

Well, you can scratch your itchy - at least for now.

Willie said on the pre-game that with a day off on Monday he's going to skip Ishii's spot in the rotation this time around. He'll be available for pen work through this weekend at least.

So presumably we'll start Tuesday with Benson, Glavine, Zambrano, Pedro again and not see Ishii until next Saturday.

And from what I've been reading, Trachsel's return isn't too far off.

Maybe we'll only have to endure another two or three Ishii starts.
