Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Pittsburgh - down 6-0 after 3 - puts up 2 in the 5th and 2 more in the 6th in Washington. Now 6-4 Nats in bottom 6.Kip Wells and Estaban Loiza started. A host of relievers since.Milwaukee leads Cubs 5-2, end of 2Rangers - trying to stay within shouting distance of the Angels - lead 6-3 in the 3rd, trying for their 2nd consect win (after losing like the previous 50 head-to-heads).
duan Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 7-3 now, it's a fun kinda game without being that exciting due Ervin Santana being pretty poor.[should have noted that i'm talking about the rangers/angels game]
duan Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 The angels had runners at 2nd & 3rd with nobody out in the first and Guerrero at bat. Vlad struck out, they walked (intentionally) anderson, Rivera singled (scoring one run) and then young got the next two hitters to ground out. To come out of that with only 1 run of damage is pretty spectacular.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2005 Author Posted June 30, 2005 Washington hangs on for a 7-5 win.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Duan at post number 41 - HAIL Seaver
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2005 Author Posted June 30, 2005 Meanwhile, out in Texas -- the Rangers have an 18-4 lead heading for the 9th. 9 HRs have been hit, 8 of those by Texas and 3 of those by Kevin Mench.Teixiera also has 2, Soriano & Blalock 1 each, plus Vlad for the Angels.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 mench was hitting the leather off the ball ... anaheim were pretty lousy after the first inning though. going to watch at least a bit of the indians vs the orioles now. [what a waste of a Seaver post btw]
