Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Silver, nice photos. I think my Mets shirt and hat may have had something to do with my camera problems with security.
Guest cooby Guests Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Next time, wear a KC Royals shirt. Nobody ever cares about them
Guest Yancy Street Gang Guests Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Do they even make Kansas City Royals shirts?
Guest cooby Guests Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 If they do, I'll bet the Royals own them all
Guest silverdsl Guests Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 Thanks for the compliments on my photos! I love photography and especially taking pics at games!Rockin' Doc wrote:Silver, nice photos. I understand the need to enforce rules but they're got to apply to everyone or no one, not be dependant on what team you support. I was wearing a shirt with a very small Yankees logo - I wonder what might have happened if that was seen - off to the dungeon for me!
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 6, 2005 Posted July 6, 2005 After being greeted at RFK with the sight of "Mets Suck" t-shirts on the way into the ballpark accompanied by M-E-T-S Suck Suck Suck chanting, I wouldn't be surprised that RD was discriminated against because of his team of choice. This town has had a team for 15 minutes (after losing two other teams within a decade and not having a team at all for 35 years) - where the hell do they have the standing to trash talk anyone? As obnoxious as the MFY fans are, at least there's a time-established rivalry behind the hostility. Getting it in DC comes totally out of left field (sorry Frayed Knot....). I've been to every major league park and this is the first time I have encountered this kind of nonsense as a visiting fan.

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2005 Posted July 7, 2005 Can't you at least try to find a men's room somewhere other than right next to the grill?
Guest KC Guests Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 Can we get a recipe for Mrs. Rockin' Doc's in-hotel-room-prepared salsa? She said she combined recipes. It was great on chips, sausage, hot dogs, hell I was spooning it up off my plate.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Oops. I forgot. I was supposed to duel Diamond Dad.
Guest cooby Guests Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 This isn't a caption, it's a question...why is there always someone behind a tree in these pictures?
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Because KB crouches behind trees in order to surreptitiously snap photos of unsuspecting subjects ;)
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 I'll get the salsa recipe from her and post it tomorrow. I think I'm going to get one of those Tool Box Grills in the near future. What a great Fourth of July. Plenty of good food, cold beer, and a Mets victory. Now that's triple happiness in my book.Oh, and fireworks. Always love fireworks.

Guest getalife Guests Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 Please thank MRD for us, good summer stuff.
Guest getalife Guests Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 Most of my photos (actually, KB took them) are of couples and small groupsand have the wifeys and childrens and I was reluctant to post them.We also have a nice group shot that Doc's son took with everyone's cameras, but I don't know a couple of the people in the photo well enough to know whetherit was cool to post their pictures on the internet.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted July 10, 2005 Posted July 10, 2005 You can post any pix you want of the DiamondKnights.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Just got my film back today. The in game shot look like a bunch of ants running around on the field. Damn, overzealous security people cost me some good action shots. I got a nice picture of Diamond Dad's funny T-Shirt. I'll try to get one or two pictures up in the next few days.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Lest it go unsaid, early returns suggest Willets selected a fun and charming spouse to be.With a curious fealty to the Kirk Gibson-era Tigers.
