Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2005 Author Posted July 21, 2005 Angel Pagan is another extended hitting streak, this one currently stands at 14 consecutive games.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2005 Author Posted August 19, 2005 We joke a lot about our prospects being orphans, but in some sad news Angel Pagan's father has passed away and Angel has temporarily left the team to attend the funeral. RIP for the elder Mr. Pagan.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted September 12, 2005 Author Posted September 12, 2005 Angel Pagan hit a line drive right at Toledo shortstop Don Kelly that ended yesterday's game and the season for the Norfolk Tides, as the Tides are eliminated from the International League playoffs. :(

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 I wouldn't call a 71% success rate "erratic" as a base stealer. They're right that it's not particluarly good, and it may translate to worse at the big league level. But erratic is Lenny Randle (47 for 79 in steals as a Met). Or worse, Elliott Maddox (6-28).
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted January 25, 2006 Author Posted January 25, 2006 Well, once again I have an empty nest. My boy is a Cub. Three adoptees - Eckert, Petit, and Pagan - and they've all run off without so much as a cup of coffee with the Mets.Anyone know of any good unadopted prospects?
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Yeah, you should try this Hector Pellot kid. Drafted just last year, pretty highly (he was their 2nd pick but I think), and I don't think he got much of any PT last summer, so he's prolly gonna get a fair shake before they trade him away.I'll read your updates anyway.
