Meanwhile Heilman rots in the bullpen. Decisions need to be made.

In other news, Mike DeJean NEEDS to rot in the bullpen.

Yeah, but you said he was only 57, Mr. cooby just said he was 99

I didn't use the words"only 57". The person who wrote the KTE said he is 57. I merely commented on it.
But Mr. Cooby is probably right. :)

My daughter's been making the rounds of college graduation parties. This weekend she is in NJ? Philly?

Anyway, just before the ninth inning she called to get the Mets score; they thought it was 6-2, and I said no it's now 7-2...loud groaning in background.

She put her friend Frank on and we talked a bit about the team, he is going to the game Sunday, encouraged me to listen to Mike and the Mad Dog and he assures me they will win the division this year. :)

A bright spot in an otherwise really crappy game.

Oh, and sorry Widey. Happy Birthday otherwise!

Sigh. Another ugly game. . . .

If this is the straw that gets Aybar or DeJean released and/or the straw that leads to Heilman starting over Ishii, it will have been worth listening to, however.

It's crazy how good Ishii was at first and how bad he suddenly got.

Ishii was making the leftys look absolutely stupid the first 2 times around.
That collapse was totally unforseeable -- even though I'm sure many fans undoubtedly "KNEW" it was going to happen. Problem is that the fans who claim that also predicted bad innings from Kaz before the game started, then after inning 1, after inning 2, inning 3, etc.
After you've done the rain dance through a week of bone-dry weather you blow the chance to say "I told you so" when it finally rains on day 8.

But the NYM fan is right about one thing; you can't win w/your 2nd baseman leaving all those runners on base all night and it's past time to get rid o ... oh wait!

Manny Aybar certainly didn't do himself any favors with a new reliever hanging vulture-like over the clubhouse wall.

I had a good time anyway. But the game jumped the shark when Cairo grounded to the left side with Reyes on 3rd and 1 out. Our offense isn't going well enough to waste Reyes-on-third opportunities, and I think the team kind of senses that now.

Ishii's implosion was understandable considering it all started after walking the leadoff batter on 4. The 1st HR came off a 83 mph fastball, the scoreboard said (could that be right?).

Some other things happened, and then we went home. The end.
