Jonathan Santucci is the ninth-ranked prospect in the Mets' farm system. Santucci was drafted in the second round of the 2024 MLB Draft, and excelled through the minors and is currently in Double-A Binghamton. Santucci is projected to be a mid-rotation arm; however, he could be a bullpen option in the future if his secondary pitches don't pan out.

Santucci definitely needs to improve his command and cut down on his walks.  The fact that his K rate is still >9 per 9 innings is a good indication that he has good stuff.  Developing a dependable third pitch to go with his 4 seamer and wipe out slider would greatly enhance his chances of becoming a successful starter at the MLB level.
