Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 13 Posted April 13 The ship has already sailed, but it would be really cool if an owner could point to the rafters and tell a star player, "Someday, somebody may offer you a five-year deal, while we are offering four years and a vesting option, and your agent will tell you to take the guaranteed money, but it's only lifers who get their number up there, and I hope you want to be one." It would also be good if owners didn't trade lifers, but that ship too has sailed. Stupid ships.
