Edgy MD Site Manager Posted January 27 Posted January 27 This man gave up his Metly life for Luis Robert, Jr., and somehow failed to be honored with a memorial thread.I am scandalized. We all should be.[FIMG=660]https://www.chicagotribune.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/ctc-z-Mets_Yankees_Baseball_20265-c56eb_1093224782_229383277.jpg?w=911[/FIMG]

Edgy MD Site Manager Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 He came up in 2024, replaced an injured Francisco Lindor, hit a metric ton, and saved the Mets season, before Lindor returned and saved it for good in Game 161.This come-from-behind-victory over Philadelphia stands out, but he was all over the place in those two weeks in September. He slugged .641!!
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I remember his first stint with the Mets and how well he did. .308 BA, 3 HR, 6 RBI in just 39 ABs. I remember when we traded Max Scherzer for him and how I was kind of bummed to lose Max Scherzer.I know some youngsters had to go (Vientos/Baty still included), but I actually didn't think it was going to be Acuna. Maybe Mauricio. He was twice a Top-100 prospect, so this one might sting in the future.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted January 29 Posted January 29 I really liked his energy, seemed like a good kid
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted January 29 Posted January 29 I liked him. He brought defensive versatility and seem provided very good defense wherever that positioned him. He was an offensive weapon as a pinch runner. I liked his energy and versatility. He will likely have more opportunity to get significant playing time with the White Sox. I wish him well in the future.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Like ... it's a four-way tie?! Luisangel needed one PR appearance in the season’s final two games to own it outright. Mendy apparently had other priorities.
