Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Senga times three isn't what I'd do, but Greenjeans has his druthers.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Andy Green might be just what the Mets need to turn it around. An actual manager with managerial and playing experience, not some schlub like Men-dope-za (LO L get it?). Plus, his career .428 winning percentage is only about 200 points away from being a .600 winning percentage, so rounding up he's basically good enough to be a Yankees manager. Therefore, I hereby decree the Mets will make the playoffs this season with Green at the helm.

Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Dude, Kyle Schwarber is an animal. He's like Ralph Kiner, just packing all these super power-packed seasons in a short time span. Kiner's 162-game average, 1947-1951: 46 HR, 120 RBI, 115 R Schwarber's 162-game average, 2022-2026: 43 HR, 93 RBI, 96 R (though he's actually more comparable to Adam Dunn, 2004-2008). MFS62 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Go after Alvarado. Go after Alvarado hard.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Ewing is going to be a monster when his body fills out MFS62 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Just now, The Hot Corner said: I would hit Li dor for Baty. Hard to disagree. We'll see if he's available in the ninth, but using him there gets him maybe a shot then and in the ninth.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Baty is beyond his New York Mets expiration date Radar 1
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Weird game in that Senga gets far more of a leash as a reliever than as a starter. It's like an inverted game in that they use the short reliever then the middle-to-long reliever, then the starter.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This is a new role for Senga and maybe it suits him
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Now that Torrens is on second, you ought to pinch-run for him and lose the DH. But no way in 2026 will they use a pitcher and they don't want to use Lindor.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago If they don't use Lindor with the bags loaded here, he's nailed to the bench.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The guy can't throw a strike, Mauricio has been chasing since he returned, the pitcher falls behind 1-and-0, and Keith and Ronny both give him the swing sign? Ugh.
Radar Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This is a pathetic offense when they need it . This with men on in scoring position is so freaking predictable. They suck in the crunch. I literally tune in just to watch the young guys.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Senga really didn't pitch badly. He threw a flat pitch to the wrong guy, which unfortunately is the difference in the game.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Three lefties — Young, Ewing, Baty — in the ninth.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Young chasing 1-0, with everybody swinging for the bay. Hopefully Lindor is available to bat for Torrens.
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Looking for Young to turn around a fastball to tie it up.

The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Oh lord, we are down to Baty as a last gasp hope.
Radar Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 1 minute ago, The Hot Corner said: Oh lord, we are down to Baty as a last gasp hope. Thank goodness he walked
The Hot Corner Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Another game, another loss. Another game stranding a small village on the bases.
Radar Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Seriously how many players on this team do we even care to keep? Maybe six?, seven?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted 58 minutes ago Posted 58 minutes ago Four runs scored with half of them coming on one swing (Ewing's PH 2R HR), So the other seven hits (six singles/one double) plus the eight walks and one Philly error all added up to just two runs and, unlike many Met games this year, there were no GiDPs, pick-offs, or caught stealings. No, today, instead of erasing runners today they just stranded 'em all. 2/16 w/RiSP and 14 LOB.
Nick Morabito Syracuse Mets - AAA CF On Tuesday, Morabito went 2-for-4 with a walk. He also stole his 23rd and 24th bases. Explore Nick Morabito News >
