I'm going to start a rumor that the Mets are hot and heavy after Zac Gallen of the Dbacks. Free agent to be, got off to a very poor start this year but turned it around in his last few performances.

South Jersey. According to one article his Mom was a big Phillies fan and took Zac and his brother to lots of Phils games.

Take a long-hard look at Cedric Mullins while the Mets face Baltimore this week. He has a had a crappy year but, for whatever it is worth, he has shown signs of pulling his nose up the last week or so. He was an All-Star and Silver Slugger in 2021, and mostly has just been a guy since then, but the Mets started the season with two centerfielders, and one has been hurt most of the year and the other has been slumping just as frequently, and they're currently faking it as often as not with a super-utility guy out there that has only modest MLB speed and scant centerfielding experience.



Cedric Mullins — currently in his walk year, he inspires rumors and run-on sentences.
