Technically, the team optioned him this morning to clear space for Blade Tidwell, but Warren is back up per doubleheader rules.Danny Young also moves to the 60-day IL.(from DiComo)
kcmets Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 https://sny.tv/articles/mets-prospect-blade-tidwell-ready-big-league-debutMets prospect Blade Tidwell surprised, but ready for highly anticipated big league debut'I thought I was close, but I didn't know how close'
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 Also from DiComo…Dedniel Núñez is in St. Louis and expects to be active for Game 2 of today's doubleheader. (The Mets can option Blade Tidwell following Game 1.)Núñez says he feels physically strong after five weeks in the minors and is "proud" to be back with the Mets.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2025 Author Posted May 4, 2025 1-0 MetsAlonso and Nimmo double
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 Going into today, Mets ERA is still 2.69.BA is up to .250.Things are going great and we're already more than a month into the year.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2025 Author Posted May 4, 2025 Gorman got spiked and he is bleeding quite a bit. Not Monty Python style but stillAcuna, NL rookie of the month
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 Mets need to go just 68-61 now to be a 90-win team.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2025 Author Posted May 4, 2025 Blade reminds me some of Craig Swan, pitching motion and facial tics
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2025 Author Posted May 4, 2025 Titswell is getting hammered but is still out there
roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 That's his job, to be out there and get hammered. MLB.tv is advertising this one as their free game of the day, but when I go there, it looks like I need to sign up and all I can find is various pricing on their different packages.Anyone know how to watch it (out of market) for free, or is this just some sort of scam? It certainly isn't very clear how to do it, if I can do it.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2025 Author Posted May 4, 2025 By leaving Blade in the Mets have effectively conceded this game
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 Of course, they haven't conceded anything — except maybe that Victor Scott is really fast.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 The Cards have induced three DP opportunities this inning and gotten two outs out of them.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2025 Author Posted May 4, 2025 Winker has "right side soreness"
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 Bases bloated here in the eighth.McNeil not taking any chances on the bases, passing on two opportunities to go for the extra base.
roger_that Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 Starting to get exciting here, bases loaded, one out in the 8th
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 And it is a one-run, un-conceded game! Not that Maton is getting it done, but going to the lefty to face Soto and Alonso is a tough call for Ollie Marmalade to be making.
Cowtipper Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 (edited) Fool me twice on Reed Garrett, but he's actually done very well this year. I was equally stoked about him last year at this point, then my enthusiasm faded as the year went on. He's matured from a strikeout-or-bust type pitcher which has really helped bring his WHIP down.
