Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 So we may never know the truth about Chris Sale. When did his back start acting up? You go back to last week, and maybe Sale's back was balky, which might be partly why Atlanta was so unwilling to move the games. Maybe they were hoping Sale would be ready for Monday. Alternatively, if the back just recently became an issue, then the Braves really fucked themselves by not moving the games. Not only did they not get to throw Sale, they decimated their pitching rotation with the end of season DH. They're not stuck with Ian Anderson for Game 1. Fried should be ready for Game 2, but if it goes 3, I don't know why they have left. Schwellenbach and Morton won't be ready.
