Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 22, 2024 Posted June 22, 2024 Starling Marte on Saturday: Pulled from game after two innings citing "knee soreness."Starling Marte on Sunday: Sitting out.Starling Marte on Monday: Gittin' an MRI.Most obvious choice to call up (if necessary) would be Brett Baty, which would restore the roster to six infielders, while effectively turning McNeil into the fifth outfielder. Maybe it could help in screw his head on right. It would also give the team some construction-ready asite. Also, don't sleep on Ben Gamel, currently hitting .309 / .420 / .537 // .957.

He's ready as he's gonna be
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 Baty always seems to rake in AAA but can't translate that to the bigs.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted June 23, 2024 Author Posted June 23, 2024 I wouldn't draw such conclusions.Among other things, he's only played 45 games at AAA, far fewer than he's played (a little more than a season) in the majors.
