Yes, do remember that it is 6:50 first pitch!

And we may be having offensive woes but the Rays leadoff batter has a .279 OBP

and their cleanup hitter is Slugging .220

Only C Ben Rorvedt (62 PA), 3B Isaac Parades, and RF Richie Palacios (87 PA) have an OPS+ over 100

And, actually, so does their #1 listed 'Utility Player' Amed Rosario. But five of their starters are at sub-70

Rays uni numbers are pretty much invisible.

Even when they were in the playoffs they were mostly incognito.

Maybe they're trying to stay that way.

The hard hit ball ratio in this game through three innings is about 15-1

Actually JD Martinez has two hit into two hard outs so it's more like 15-3

And I'm sorry, it's at least partially the uniform, because all of these guys seem to have big ol' butts.

My wife thinks Bob Mackie had a hand in the design of these unis.

Danny Young's mechanics are all over the place, but I can't argue with the outcome. His slider really seems effective against righties. I didn't see that his first time out.

Swinging at that first pitch, Zimmo

Yeah, that surprised me.

But at least he swung at a good first pitch, as opposed to Marte.
